What is Warhammer Cursed City?
Warhammer Quest: Cursed City is an engaging cooperative board game set in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe. The game casts players as heroes venturing into the shadowy streets of Ulfenkarn to challenge the tyrannical vampire lord, Radukar the Wolf, and his undead minions. It offers a rich narrative experience, combining elements of strategy, exploration, and combat across four distinct journeys: Hunt, Scavenge, Deliverance, and Decapitation.
The game supports solo play or up to four players. The highlight of the set (at least for me!) is its 60 finely detailed plastic Citadel miniatures, including eight heroes and 52 hostile models.
Included are a 40-page Rulebook, a 56-page Quest book for tracking your adventures, and a 16-page Warscrolls booklet for integrating the miniatures into Warhammer Age of Sigmar tabletop battles. The game’s components are comprehensive, featuring 138 cards, 180 tokens, counters, and markers, 20 game board tiles, and 28 dice, ensuring varied and immersive gameplay sessions.
Warhammer Quest: Cursed City is an excellent addition to the Warhammer Quest line, offering hours of cooperative gameplay. It stands out for its thematic depth, challenging mechanics, and the high quality of its components. Whether you’re a seasoned Warhammer veteran or new to board games, Cursed City promises a captivating experience as you strive to liberate Ulfenkarn from its undead curse!
