Here is my entry for the Age of Sigmar single model category at Adepticon Golden Demon. She was never supposed to be an entry but instead Dante and Fulgrim were the intended pieces. Unfortunately my father passed away recently and I just didn’t feel up to completing those models, I instead wanted to paint something that would just be fun for me and allow me to take my mind off of things.
I will complete my Dante and Fulgrim, though, maybe for the next Golden Demon!

How to Paint Sekhar the Blood Queen
I was lucky enough to be sent Sekhar, Fang of Nulahmia by Games Workshop and couldn’t wait to paint her up for you. I’ve gone for an aged bronze look for her. Read on for my tutorials so far on how to paint her.
Who is Sekhar the Blood Queen?
In the vast, war-torn realms of the Age of Sigmar, where the forces of order and chaos perpetually clash, a new shadow has emerged to challenge the might of Sigmar’s Dawnbringer Crusades. At the heart of this growing darkness stands Sekhar, the formidable Fang of Nulahmia, known across the lands as the Blood Queen.
Sekhar was once a noble of high regard within the night-shrouded city of Nulahmia, but she fell from grace only to rise again as a vampiric sovereign under the tutelage of Neferata, the Queen of Mysteries. Unlike her peers, Sekhar’s mastery over the dark arts saw her bending the will of both the dead and the living, marking her as a uniquely dangerous entity within the vampiric hierarchy. Her influence is such that she commands a grand vampiric council, uniting factions under her rule to challenge the forces of order.
The Blood Queen’s army is a nightmarish gathering of soulblight creatures – from the savage Dire Wolves that prowl the battlefield, hungry for the blood of the living, to the Fell Bats that darken the skies, their screeches heralding doom. Among them stands a creature of legend, Ouboroth, a serpent of immense power and the husk of a fallen death god, now enthralled to Sekhar’s will. Together, they embody the terror that Sekhar brings upon her foes, a reminder of her dominion over death itself.
The Fangs of the Blood Queen, as her elite forces are known, represent a potent addition to the Soulblight Gravelords’ armies. They are not merely soldiers; they are a declaration of Sekhar’s intent and power. Her rules of engagement, detailed in the Dawnbringers: Book IV – The Mad King Rises, offer insight into her tactics, showcasing her as a master of warfare and manipulation, her forces deployed not just for battle but as pieces in a grander scheme of eternal night and dominion.
Sekhar’s story is a dark tapestry woven from ambition, necromancy, and an unquenchable thirst for control. Her rise from noble to Night Queen, her gathering of the vampiric council, and her battles against the forces of Sigmar are but chapters in a saga of shadow that spreads across the realms, a saga where every victory brings her one step closer to her ultimate goal – dominion over death and life alike. In the age-old conflict that defines the Mortal Realms, the name Sekhar, the Blood Queen, is whispered with fear and respect, for she is the night incarnate, and her reign is only just beginning.
