What are the Ogroid Mymidons?
Embark on a journey to the tumultuous and war-ridden lands of the Eightpoints, where the Ogroid Myrmidons tower as colossal embodiments of martial prowess and dark might. These formidable beings, dedicated to the Dark Gods, reign supreme in the fighting pits scattered across the realms, showcasing their mastery in combat to all who dare enter their domain. Unlike their Thaumaturge counterparts, who weave magic to devastate their foes, Myrmidons excel in physical combat, wielding massive shields and heavy Gladiator Spears with a speed and skill that belies their imposing stature.
The Ogroid Myrmidon from Games Workshop is a spectacle of brute force and savagery, distinguished by a fearsome appearance complete with a bristling nest of hackles and a formidable array of six horns. On the battlefield, their presence is both a promise of destruction and a challenge to any who would oppose them. Equipped with a strength that allows them to overpower most adversaries with ease, they deliver devastating blows, their high resilience further enhanced by their ability to shrug off attacks from all but the most formidable opponents.
In Warcry, the Ogroid Myrmidon emerges as a versatile and deadly combatant, capable of hunting monsters and assassinating key targets with equal efficiency. Their toughness and Berserk ability, which unleashes a flurry of blows upon their enemies, make them a formidable ally or a dreaded foe. As part of a Chaos warband, they bring unmatched strength and ferocity to the fray, capable of altering the tide of battle with their mere presence.
Transitioning to the grand battles of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, the Myrmidon assumes the role of a fearsome leader within the Slaves to Darkness army. Their ability to inspire Cultists to ignore the horrors of battle and their prowess in melee combat, enhanced by a barrage of attacks from their gladiator spear, make them invaluable on the field. Their presence not only intimidates but also emboldens, leading the charge against the enemy with a ferocity that few can match.
Whether you are drawn to the Ogroid Myrmidon for the thrill of painting this stunning model or for the strategic advantage they offer in games of Warcry and Warhammer Age of Sigmar, they stand as a testament to the dark glory of the Chaos gods.
