Move over contrast paints, it’s time to embrace subtlety in its purest, most exquisite form. Introducing RICHARDS GREYS™, the long-anticipated* paint range crafted by Richard Gray himself.
For too long, miniature painters have been shackled by the tyranny of the colour wheel. No more. This April, we proudly unveil eight essential grey paints, each one painstakingly indistinguishable from the next, except to the truly enlightened eye. From moody industrial tones to heartbreakingly gentle highlights, Richards Greys covers every emotional state between mild apathy and existential despair
(*Note: anticipation levels may vary.)
The Full Range:
- Grey Matter: A stalwart base tone for serious artists with serious faces.
- Subtle Flex: Midtone royalty. You didn’t even notice it, and that’s the point.
- Warmish Rat: Brown? Grey? Don’t overthink it. Just trust the process.
- Fog of Wash: A whisper of highlight. May cause introspection.
- Neutral AF: So neutral it actively refuses to take sides in any palette conflict.
- Mechanicum Who?: Cold, calculated, and slightly haunted.
- Ultragrey : Shiny metal vibes without the commitment. Perfect for your NMM, the only way to paint metal.
- Dove of Contempt: The delicate edge you didn’t know you needed.
- Dun of Silence: Essential for rich emotional depth and maybe teacups.
Packaging and Presentation
Each pot comes in the classic GW-style flip-top with a custom Richards Greys label, featuring a tasteful grayscale portrait of Richard gazing nobly into the mid-distance. All paints are entirely free of joy and exceptionally good for layering and NMM.
