I’ve just posted the latest video, which covers painting the Emperor’s Children Lord. The model is taking a bit longer than anticipated, so I’ve decided to expand it into a three-part series to ensure all areas are covered thoroughly. My aim is still to complete the entire model this week, including detailed elements like the back and cloak!

How to Paint an Emperor’s Children Lord
The Emperor’s Children are infamous for their garish, opulent, and excessive aesthetics—making them great fun to paint.
The videos provide valuable insights into several advanced painting techniques, such as non-metallic metal (NMM), subtle glazing for depth, and careful highlight placement to create realistic and striking effects. By following the tutorials, you’ll learn how to balance colours across different parts of your model to achieve a cohesive look, manage complex transitions, and refine your brushwork with pro tips, such as when to switch between larger and smaller brushes for different textures and details.

The Horus Heresy Fulgrim model I’ve been working on has progressed well and now features a more detailed, narrative-driven base. Interestingly, I’ve included the Heresy Emperor’s Children Praetor model as part of the scene, which matches nicely alongside the 40k version shown in the update photo. The size difference between these models is quite striking! Once I’ve made further progress on the Heresy version, I’ll share a detailed comparison for you all to see.
Additionally, I’ve built the Blood Bowl and Necromunda models in preparation for upcoming tutorials, so expect photos and updates soon.
