Custodian Guard

Custard Marine – Custodian Guard

I wanted to do something less intense than Master Lazarus that didn’t require meticulous blending, but instead just relies on lighting for effect. To that end, here is a WIP of a custard marine (Custodian Guard)! I also like that these guys are big and chunky so it’s easier on my eyes!

There is still a fair bit to do on him including the spear, lower legs and back highlights plus base in this photo!

However – here I am in The Future coming back to this post! Visit the below links for all the tutorials for the NMM on the finished Custodian Guard:

The Symbolism of Gold in Custodian Guards

The Custodian Guards, elite warriors of the Adeptus Custodes, are renowned for their golden armour, symbolizing their unparalleled status and loyalty. Gold represents their divine purpose as the Emperor of Mankind’s personal bodyguards and protectors of the Imperial Palace. This resplendent hue signifies their sacred duty, unwavering vigilance, and the near-divine strength bestowed upon them by the Emperor himself. Each Custodian is a living testament to the Emperor’s power, standing as a golden bulwark against all threats to the Imperium.
