Who is Lazarus?
Lazarus is the current Master of the Dark Angels Chapter’s 5th Company, known for his expert strategic and tactical prowess. His journey to leadership began during the Siege of the Fenris System, where he was a Sergeant defending The Rock against daemonic assaults. This harrowing experience left him with a deep-seated hatred for Chaos, shaping his future as a warrior and leader.
After the death of Company Master Balthasar in the battles following the Great Rift’s creation, Lazarus assumed command of the 5th Company. His leadership was pivotal during the War Zone Stygius, where he prevented a total rout of Imperial forces on the Ice World of Rimenok. Despite his success, Lazarus was grievously wounded by Thousand Sons sorcery, injuries so severe that even a Dreadnought sarcophagus couldn’t save him. With no other options, the Dark Angels’ Apothecaries performed the Rubicon Primaris surgery on him. The procedure was successful, and Lazarus emerged as a fully healed Primaris Space Marine, the first of his Chapter to join the Dark Angels Inner Circle.
With his newfound strength, Lazarus leads his Company with renewed determination to vanquish the servants of Tzeentch. He played a crucial role in the Assault on Sortiarius, where he led the 5th Company alongside a Grey Knights strike force to stop Magnus the Red’s ritual. During the Arks of Omen Campaign, Lazarus stood with Azrael himself to defend the inner sanctum of The Rock.
Lazarus wields impressive wargear, including the Spiritshield Helm and the Power Sword Enmity’s Edge, enhancing his combat capabilities. His relentless drive and combat expertise make him a key figure in the Dark Angels’ ongoing crusade against Chaos.
