I covered everything from the legendary Sanguinary Guard to the mysterious Sanguinor, and in this post, I’ll be diving into all the lore-rich details that make these models stand out. Video – New Blood Angels Unboxing
1. Sanguinary Guard: The Wrath of Angels
We kicked things off with the Sanguinary Guard, one of the oldest and most revered formations within the Blood Angels. These angelic warriors trace their lineage back to the Great Crusade, where they fought at the side of the Chapter’s Primarch, Sanguinius. Their resplendent golden armour and sacred Angelus boltguns are relics passed down through the millennia, embodying the Chapter’s ideals of nobility and wrath.
This multipart kit comes with 60 components to build three elite warriors, each customizable with bare heads or eerie death masks. You can also choose between their iconic encarmine blades or spears. One model can even be equipped with a Sanguinary Banner, making this set a stunning addition to any army.
2. Sanguinary Priest: Guardian of Blood and Soul
Next, I unboxed the Sanguinary Priest, a vital figure in the Blood Angels’ struggle against the Red Thirst, a bloodlust that threatens to overwhelm the Chapter’s warriors. As both healers and spiritual guides, Sanguinary Priests hold the key to preserving the Blood Angels’ gene-seed, ensuring that the Chapter’s legacy endures.
This kit offers tons of customisation, with 27 components, including multiple head options and two different dynamic poses. The Sanguinary Priest isn’t just about battlefield support—his role in controlling and harnessing the Red Thirst makes him a deadly addition to any army.
3. Blood Angels Captain: Tactical Genius and Customization
The Blood Angels Captain was next up, and what a model! Clad in artificer armour inspired by Commander Dante himself, the Captain embodies the tactical brilliance and regal leadership that defines the Chapter. The level of customization in this kit is impressive, with options to equip the Captain with a power fist, chainsword, or a relic weapon in the left hand, while the right can hold a heavy bolt pistol or the inferno pistol.
With 29 components, this kit allows you to create a truly unique leader, and whether you prefer a heroic pose or something more reserved, the flexibility here makes the Captain a real standout model for any Blood Angels force.
4. The Sanguinor: The Angelic Avenger
Finally, we arrive at the Sanguinor, a model shrouded in mystery and legend. Known as the Exemplar of the Host, the Sanguinor descends from the heavens in times of dire need, bringing swift retribution to the enemies of the Blood Angels. His golden armour and massive Encarmine Broadsword strike fear into those who face him, while his true identity remains a puzzle even to the Chapter itself.
This kit includes 13 components and builds a stunning model of the Sanguinor, floating above the battlefield with angelic wings spread wide. He’s both a powerful hero and a beautiful centerpiece for any Blood Angels collection, capable of inspiring his brothers and dealing out death with terrifying precision.
